Looking for a great solar ROI? We offer the tools that help you find and evaluate the right location for your solar project. Whether it's photovoltaic or concentrating solar power, here you find high-quality technical support in solar resource assessment.

We recommend the following product:GIS Solar Maps
Project Developers

How do GIS Solar Maps help with building an integrated software environment for project development? Many factors have to be considered when assessing locations for solar development. Besides solar insolation, attention is given to ground level elevations, proximity to the power grid, land use, and hydrology. GIS Solar Maps enable you to seamlessly access solar irradiance information from within your own GIS application, delivered as practical add-on extensions. One click is all it takes to upload high-resolution maps of direct and global irradiance to your GIS. A prerequisite for using GIS Solar Maps in this way is that a GIS system is already in place.

We recommend the following product:Time Series Data

How do Time Series Data help with solar plant simulation? A reliable estimate of electricity production from solar power plants requires knowledge of meteorological site conditions with a high degree of accuracy. However, pre-existing weather stations are rarely found at or near the site. Solar irradiance is not a standard meteorological variable recorded by all weather stations. Only some stations record global irradiance, and even fewer are equipped with instruments to measure direct irradiance. Despite of these difficulties, you are given access to site-specific irradiance data generated from satellite observations and available as global and direct irradiance (GHI and DNI). If desired, temperature records can be included as well which, in this case, are sourced from the nearest weather station.
